Moderate to Heavy Rain, Snow Forecast: Authorities Issue Weather Advisory in Anantnag

Anantnag, April 19: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag has issued a weather advisory in view of the forecast predicting moderate to heavy rainfall and snowfall in higher reaches of the district from April 19 to April 23, 2025.
In the advisory, the general public has been urged to follow all safety guidelines and avoid unnecessary travel during this period to ensure their safety and to help minimize disruption.
Keeping in view the inclement weather forecast, the advisory has directed various departments including Revenue, PWD (R&B), PWD (Mechanical Engineering), Flood Control Division Anantnag, PMGSY, Urban Local Bodies, JPDCL, Jal Shakti, and Health & Medical Education Departments to make necessary logistic arrangements and preparedness measures.
The concerned departments have also been instructed to activate their respective control rooms to render immediate assistance when required.
In addition to these measures, the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) and the control room located at the DC Office Anantnag will remain operational round-the-clock to handle any emergency, assistance requests, or grievances from the public.
