Weather Update for Jammu & Kashmir: Light to Moderate Snowfall Expected on February 4-5

Srinagar, February 4, 2025 – The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather forecast for Jammu & Kashmir, predicting light to moderate rain and snowfall in several areas between the evening of February 4 and the morning of February 5. Weather conditions are expected to improve thereafter.

Weather Forecast

• February 4-5: Light to moderate rain and snowfall are likely at many places, particularly in the higher reaches of the Chenab Valley and the Pir Panjal range in South Kashmir. These areas may receive snow accumulation of more than 8-10 inches.

• February 6-8: The weather is expected to remain generally dry with partly cloudy skies.

• February 9-10: A fresh spell of light rain and snow is likely at isolated to scattered locations.

• February 11-12: The region is expected to remain generally cloudy, with a possibility of light rain or snowfall at a few places.

The Meteorological Centre has advised tourists, travelers, and transporters to follow the guidelines issued by the local administration and traffic authorities.
