Probe ordered into discrepancies in JKP constable examination: JKSSB

Srinagar, Jan 23: The J&K Service Selection Recruitment Board (JKSSRB) has ordered an inquiry to probe the allegations leveled against the Board over the “discrepancies” in the JKP Constable Telecommunication examination, the result of which was declared recently.
Chairperson JKSSB Indu Kanwal Chib said the Board has ordered an inquiry to probe the allegations.
“The members have given the task and we have asked them to look into the matter very intricately. We have given a certain amount of time to them to inquire the matter,” Chib said.
Earlier, the aspirants of the JKP Constable Telecommunication and Photography exams raised serious concerns while alleging irregularities and questioned the transparency of the selection process done by the JKSSB.
The aspirants said some candidates who excelled in the Telecommunication and Photography exams had performed poorly in which some aspirants were awarded marks in the earlier JKP (Executive/Armed/SDRF) paper.
Following the complaints of the aspirants, PDP leader Iltija Mufti took to her micro blogging X handle and said that JKSSB continues “jeopardizing the future of J&K’s youth.”
“Massive discrepancies in the JKP Telecommunications exam wherein toppers fared poorly in the previously held constable exams. The government that rose to power by making lofty promises has conveniently washed its hands of any accountability,” she wrote on her X handle.
Chairperson JKSSB meanwhile said the inquiry has been ordered and “Let us see what comes out.”
