Moderate to Heavy Snowfall Predicted Through J&K, District Anantnag Admin issued weather Advisory

 

Anantnag, January 3, 2025 – The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, has issued a weather advisory following an alert from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Metrological Centre Srinagar.

 

The advisory predicts moderate to heavy rainfall and snowfall throughout J&k included Anantnag district from January 4 to January 6, 2025.

Residents are urged to exercise caution, minimize unnecessary travel, and adhere to safety guidelines during this period.

 

Relevant departments, including Revenue, Public Works (R&B), Mechanical Engineering & Housing Development (ME & HD), PMGSY, Urban Local Bodies (ULB), KPDCL, Jal Shakti, and Health & Medical Education, have been directed to prepare for snow clearance and related operations. Field staff will remain stationed at headquarters to provide immediate assistance if required.
