J&K Weather Update: More Snowfall Expected, MeT Centre Issues Advisory
Srinagar, Jan 3: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted more snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, with a Western Disturbance (WD) expected to bring light to moderate rain and snow to the region from January 4-6.
According to the forecast, the WD will bring light to moderate rain to the plains of Jammu and snow to most places in J&K, with peak activity expected during the night of January 4 to late night of January 5.

Jan 3: Generally cloudy with light snow at isolated higher reaches
Jan 4-6: Generally cloudy with light to moderate rain (plains of Jammu) and snow at most places of J&K
Jan 7-10: Generally cloudy with dry weather
Jan 11-12: Generally cloudy with light snow at isolated to scattered places
Jan 13-15: Generally dry
MeT Centre Issues Advisory
In view of the fresh snowfall, sub-freezing temperatures, and icy conditions over roads, tourists, travelers, and transporters are advised to plan accordingly and follow administrative and traffic advisories.
The administration has warned of the possibility of heavy snow at isolated higher reaches during the night of January 4 to late night of January 5.
