WEATHER UPDATE: J&K TO WITNESS INTERMITTENT SNOW, RAIN IN COMING DAYS

 

Srinagar, Dec 28: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather update for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting intermittent snow and rain in the region over the next few days.

 

According to the forecast, December 28 will be generally cloudy with intermittent light snow over South Kashmir and the Chenab Valley, along with light rain at a few plains of the Jammu region till late afternoon/evening.

 

The weather is expected to remain generally dry from December 29 to 31. However, January 1-2 will be generally cloudy with light snow at isolated places.

 

A FRESH SPELL OF SNOW EXPECTED FROM JAN 3-6

 

The Meteorological Centre has predicted a fresh spell of snow during January 3-6, with chances of moderate to heavy snowfall at a few higher reaches.

 

ADVISORY ISSUED FOR TOURISTS, TRAVELLERS, AND TRANSPORTERS

 

In view of the snowfall, sub-freezing temperatures, and icy conditions over roads, tourists, travellers, and transporters are advised to follow the administration and traffic advisory.

 

Additionally, a cold wave is expected at isolated places during December 30-31.
