WEATHER UPDATE: J&K TO EXPERIENCE LIGHT RAIN AND SNOW IN COMING DAYS

Srinagar, Dec 27: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting light rain and snow in various parts of the region over the next few days.
According to the forecast, December 27-28 is expected to be generally cloudy with light rain over the plains of Jammu and light snow over the Chenab Valley and Pirpanjal Range.
Additionally, light snow is predicted over the middle and higher reaches of South and Central Kashmir, particularly during the evening and night of December 27.
From December 29-31, the weather is expected to be generally dry, with cloudy conditions on December 31.
January 1-2 is predicted to be generally cloudy, with light snow at isolated places.
Furthermore, January 3-5 is expected to be generally cloudy, with light snow at isolated to scattered places.
ADVISORY ISSUED FOR TOURISTS AND TRAVELLERS
In view of the fresh snowfall, sub-freezing temperatures, and icy conditions over important passes and higher reaches, tourists, travellers, and transporters are advised to follow the administration and traffic advisory.
The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has also warned of a cold wave at isolated places during December 30-31.
