WEATHER UPDATE: J&K TO EXPERIENCE COLD WAVE AND LIGHT PRECIPITATION
Srinagar, Dec 25: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted a cold wave to continue at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir for the next two days.
According to the forecast, December 25-26 is expected to be generally dry, while December 27-28 may see generally cloudy weather with light rain over the plains of Jammu and light snow over higher reaches of Chenab valley and Pirpanjal Range.
The weather is expected to remain generally dry from December 29-31, with cloudy conditions on December 31.
January 1-2 is predicted to be generally cloudy with light snow at isolated places, while January 3-4 may see generally cloudy weather with light snow at isolated to scattered places.
COLD WAVE ALERT
The Meteorological Centre has warned that cold wave conditions will continue at isolated places during the next two days. In addition, sub-freezing temperatures and icy conditions are expected to prevail over important passes and higher reaches.
