WEATHER UPDATE: J&K TO EXPERIENCE LIGHT SNOW AND RAIN IN COMING DAYS

Srinagar, Dec 23: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted generally cloudy weather with light snow over isolated higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir on December 23.
As per the forecast, December 24-26 is expected to be generally dry, while December 27-28 may see generally cloudy weather with light rain over the plains of Jammu and light snow over higher reaches of Chenab valley and Pirpanjal Range.
The weather is expected to remain generally dry on December 29-30, while December 31 may see generally cloudy weather with light snow at isolated higher reaches.
The Meteorological Centre has also predicted generally cloudy weather with light snow at isolated to scattered places on January 1-3.
COLD WAVE ALERT
The minimum temperature is expected to drop by 2-3°C during December 24-26, and cold wave conditions are likely to continue at isolated places till December 26.
ADVISORY FOR TOURISTS AND TRAVELLERS
In view of the fresh snowfall, sub-freezing temperature, and icy conditions over roads of important passes and higher reaches, tourists, travellers, and transporters are advised to follow the administration and traffic advisory.
