25 machines ready for snow clearance in Kulgam: AEE MED
Says dept to clear 585 kms of 162 roads this year; 2 control rooms also set-up to keep track of snow clearance in the district

Kulgam, Dec 18 (VOI): Twenty five machines are ready for snow clearance in south kashmiri’s Kulgam district, an official said on Wednesday.
Talking to Voice of India, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) MED, Kulgam Khurshid Abdullah said that twenty five machines are ready for snow clearance, besides, two control rooms have been established to keep track of snow clearance across the district.
“Department has geared up all the men and machinery in the district to tackle with any situation arising in view of prediction of snowfall”, he said, adding department will clear 585 kilometres of 162 roads in the district out of which 430.57 kilometres (74 roads) fall under priority 1 and 154.66 kms (88 roads) fall under priority 2”, he said.
