Anantnag Municipal Council Issues Public Notice for PMAY-U 2.0
Anantnag, November 7, 2024 – The Anantnag Municipal Council has released an official public notice inviting residents to learn more about the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0), a key initiative by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs aimed at ensuring affordable housing for all by 2024. The scheme focuses on providing sustainable and inclusive housing access to economically disadvantaged groups, including Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Low-Income Groups (LIG), and Middle-Income Groups (MIG).
Key Components of PMAY-U 2.0:
1. Beneficiary-Led Construction (BLC) : Helps eligible families build new homes or enhance existing structures on their own land.
2. Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) : Supports the development of affordable housing through collaborations between public and private sectors for the benefit of low-income households.
3. In-Situ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR) : Utilizes existing land to provide housing solutions for slum dwellers, aimed at promoting a slum-free urban environment.
4. Credit-Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) : Offers interest subsidies on home loans for EWS, LIG, and MIG groups for purchasing, building, or renovating houses.
Eligibility Criteria:
Families without a permanent home anywhere in India.
-Income eligibility includes EWS (up to Rs. 3 lakhs/year), LIG (Rs. 3–6 lakhs/year), and MIG (Rs. 6–18 lakhs/year).
Special encouragement for women, SC/ST/OBC communities, and other marginalized groups to apply.

– Complete the online application with personal, income, and Aadhaar details.
– Submit the form after verification.
