GMC Anantnag Observed MBBS batch 2024-2025 orientation day
Anantang Oct 14 : (ANR) Today, in an impressive function at Main Campus Dialgam, Govt Medical College Anantnag observed MBBS batch 2024-2025 orientation day with all zeal and fervour. This function was organised by Medical Education Unit ( MEU) GMC Anantnag to orient New MBBS batch to new NMC curriculum. This programme was also aimed to introduce the new batch to the teaching faculty of the college and various departments they have to work with during their training course at GMC Anantnag.
The orientation programme was attended by all the students from new MBBS batch, their parents, faculty members and other staff from GMC Anantang. Dr Ambreen Nazir Senior resident department of physiology was the comparer for the event. She was praised by one and all for conducting the programme beautifully, efficiently and professionally.
Dr Showkat Hussain Tali, Associate Professor and Head Department of Pediatrics and curriculum committee member gave a insightful power presentations on rules and regulations that students have to adhere to during the whole MBBS course. After the presentation, heads of various departments of GMC Anantnag introduced their respective departments to the students. Apart from congratulating the student, they gave them important tip related to MBBS course and assured to offered them help and guidance at every step during the training course.
Dr Mahbooba Rasool associate professor department of SPM and member curricular committee spearheaded the oath taking ceremony. Dr Shagufta Ara Assistant Professor Department of Physiology and member MEU presented vote of thank at the end of the function.
Prof. Dr Ruksana Najeeb Principal/Dean GMC Anantnag who is also the chairman of MEU and curriculum committee was the Chief Guest for the occasion. She welcomed all the students and congratulated them for choosing the prestigious institution of GMC Anantnag for MBBS course. She assured the students that they will get the most comfortable environment to work in and best training opportunities to become globally relevant Indian Medical Graduates. She directed students to maintain discipline throughout their training course so that they would be able to transform their raw talents into excellent physicians and surgeons of future and best human beings to serve the highly demanding future generations to the full of their capacity and capability.
