J&K driver detained in Mizoram on murder suspicion
Aizawl, July 8: A truck driver from Jammu and Kashmir was detained by Mizoram Police on suspicion of murdering a fellow driver from the same state in Kolasib district on Monday morning.
Police officials said Bashir Ahmad Siraj Khan, 41, was arrested on suspicion of killing Rafiq Khan, 36, at North Chhimluang village. Both drivers are residents of Kupwara district, Jammu and Kashmir, The victim’s body was recovered from his truck around 6.20 am, said an official of Vairengte Police Station.
A hammer believed to have been used in the murder was recovered from the truck driven by Bashir Ahmad Siraj Khan, police said.–(UNI)
