DSEJ issues guidelines for confirmation of result of private schools

Srinagar, Apr 03 (KNO): The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) Wednesday issued guidelines for the confirmation of results of private schools of winter and summer zone in the region.
DSEJ in a circular said that in order to streamline the process of confirmation of results by the Chief Education Officers, ZEO’s on a uniform pattern, the recommended parameters shall be adopted for countersigning the results.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), DSEJ said that the ZEO shall countersign the results for private schools upto middle class in their respective jurisdictions.
”CEO’s and Dy. CEO’s (where applicable) shall countersign results for private high and higher secondary schools in their respective jurisdictions,” it reads.
The directorate further said that the private schools shall be required to produce the countersigned result of the previous academic year along with the proof of recognition of the School.
”The current result will be countersigned only, if the students figuring therein have same particulars as that of previous academic year and have unique ID of Permanent Education Number,” it reads.
It further reads that the authenticated or Countersigned School Leaving Transfer Certificate of the previous School shall be required only in case a student is figuring in the current result but he/she does not figure in the countersigned result of the previous year.
“Birth certificate as proof must be asked or seen in case of the result of standard first,” reads the circular.
DSEJ further said that the result of only those classes shall be confirmed and countersigned for which the school is recognised and permitted by the competent authority or far which classes it is recognised or permitted.
It also states, “The result countersigning authorities shall maintain a proper data-base and record of the schools whose result is confirmed and countersigned.”
DSEJ ordered all the concerned CEO’s to pass on the instructions to the ZEO’s for strict implementation.
“Further, for those schools which are not recognised and have applied for recognition, the results shall only be authenticated after clarification from Competent Authority,” it reads—(KNO)
